Santa’s Sleigh Took the Scenic Route – Printable Christmas Gift Swap Game

Santa has deliveries to finish. Waffles the reindeer has cinnamon rolls on his mind! Turn your Christmas gift exchange into a read-aloud adventure with Santa’s Sleigh Took the Scenic Route.

What’s included:

• One original three-page Christmas story plus a one-page host guide.
• Two four-page US Letter PDF editions: color and printer-friendly black and white.
• One ZIP download with both PDFs and a quick-start README. Both editions contain the same game; print only your preferred edition.

How it works:

Start with one wrapped gift per willing player. The host mixes and deals the gifts. Read aloud and pass at bold LEFT, RIGHT, and STRAIGHT cues. A bold number sets the distance for the next LEFT or RIGHT; otherwise pass one seat. STRAIGHT means across, with a specific rule for odd-sized circles explained in the guide. Everyone keeps the gift held at the end.

For 3 or more players. For larger gatherings, use separate circles of about 6–10 players listening to one reader. Gifts stay within each circle. A helper can assist with passing. Agree on age-appropriate gifts of roughly equal value before playing.

Print and prepare:

Extract the ZIP and print your chosen four-page edition single-sided on US Letter paper at 100% / Actual Size. You supply the wrapped gifts and printing materials. A ZIP extraction tool and PDF reader are needed.

Digital download only. No physical product or gifts are shipped. These fixed PDFs are not editable and are not an online game.

For personal gatherings, your own classroom, or your organization’s internal holiday gathering. Do not resell, redistribute, or publicly upload the files.
